Final postcard Image

This is the final postcard image for Babylon Babylon, a fusion of my first concept of a straight on portrait of the Priestess and later ideas about mixing in a high key psychedelic otherworldly feel. Jeff wanted to remove the text from the final image, and I think it was a good idea, it is nice when a image really is worth a thousand words.

Babylon Babylon

I am currently working on my friends' Hope and Jeff's theater project Babylon Babylon, Designing the postcard for the show and creating video projections of that will be interactive parts of the performace. Here is my first rough for the postcard with Hope as the High Priestess and below is a photo still of actor Robert Pinnock as the deity Marduke. The show will open next month at the Brick, so I am taking a break from my current paintings.
