Alcove Group Shot

Sunday, I meet up with all of the artist that had taken part in Gwendolyn Skaggs's Alcove exhibition project . The odd thing to me was I was the only one who tried to smile, and this picture must have caught me about to half the way there. Everybody else looks cool and intense.

The Angel Shin

I forgot this new painting from the batch last night. Shin, 6 "x 8", acrylic, collage, colored sand, and epoxy on canvas, 2008. It actually comes out of this painting I did in 1997 , "Arise"

NUDD!

My good friend and patron Paul Nudd asked me to do a piece of "Fan Art" for his upcoming zine/homemade catalog for the hyde park art center, Tomorrow was the deadline, so I did this quick study of the man himself with an attempt to capture the "bubbly and/or leaking pus" effect of his own work.

Walk on B(ab)y(lon)

One of the fun things about doing design work is when you see your creation out in the world, in an unexpected place. Today, I went for a short walk, in between doing my taxes, every block in Williamsburg, Brooklyn had one of the Babylon Babylon , DYI posters posted. The show opens soon, those of you that made it out to Adventures of Caveman Robot at the Brick will not want to miss this new Piper McKenzie production. I personally did all the video projects for the piece and from what I have seen they are really pulling it all out for this show.
